Emptying the container

Check the amount of waste in the container according to
the job in hand and to prevent it from becoming
excessively full.
Before emptying container "1", first switch off the vacuum
by pressing the OFF button (red) then turn the main switch
to position 0 (OFF).
It is also advisable to clean the primary filter by using the
shaker handle.
Wait a few minutes for the dust to detach from the filter and
deposit in container "1".
Lift lever "4" under the inlet.
Container "1" will lower until it rests with its wheels on the
floor.
Grip handle "2" and remove the container, then empty out
its contents.
To make container "1" easier to empty, Nilfisk-Advance
supplies a lifting strap to be used when lifting the container
by use of a forklift or a crane. Insert the strap in the
mounting brackets on the container.
ATTENTION!
The container must not be emptied if it
contains dust classified as a health threat,
(Dust classifications M and H).
A plastic bag must be used for the disposal
of dangerous dust or, alternatively, the ABS
container with a lid.
The corresponding article numbers for
these items are given in Chapter 9.
To remount the container, fit it under filter unit "5".
Now push lever "4" downwards, allowing container "1" to
lift until it seals against filter chamber "5".
ATTENTION!
Check that when back in position, container
"1" is in a perfectly sealed condition.
To facilitate the container emptying and cleaning
operations, it is advisable to use plastic bags "1" as
indicated in figure 9.
ATTENTION!
These bags cannot be used when the waste
contains liquids or sharp items.

MACHINE EQUIPPED WITH
ELECTRIC FILTER SHAKER
One variant of each type of four machines is equipped with
an electric filter shaker. This consists of an electrical
reduction unit and a lever system that turns the filter in a
horizontal reciprocating way.
Rotary movements are about 10 degrees to the right and
10 degrees to the left with a frequency of about 180 cycles
per minute.
The dust detaches from the filter thanks to the high
number of cycles. The filter is held by a mechanical cage
able to withstand the pressure exercised by the filter itself,
carry the latter when the filter shaker operates and keep it
taut during the suction phase.
Filter cleaning can be programmed at set intervals
regardless of the degree of clogging. It can also be
established by a differential vacuum gauge, which only
activates filter cleaning when there is certain degree of
clogging.
Only entrust inspections and filter replacement operations
to competent personnel.
If work has been carried out on the electrical filter shaker
system, (i.e. replacement of filter or the like), follow the
instructions below.
