Notes on operation
Remove the activation
key
and
remove the battery from
the machine
for:
Inspection, adjustment and cleaning

work
Working on the cutting blade

Leaving the machine
–
Transport
–
Storage

Repair and maintenance work

In case of danger and emergency
–
This will prevent the engine starting
unintentionally.
Before operation
Check that the machine is in good
operational condition – see the
corresponding chapters in the
instruction manual:
Control bar and locking button must
–
move smoothly – switches must
return to their original position after
release
Control bar blocked when lock
–
button is not pressed
Check that the cutting blade is
–
correctly mounted, mechanically
secure and in perfect condition
Check the machine for damage and
–
wear. Replace damaged parts
Do not use the machine with
–
damaged guards, without a
functioning overrun brake or without
attached guards (e.g. discharge
flap)
Always use the machine with an
–
undamaged grass catcher box
Do not make any modifications to
–
the operating and safety equipment
Handles must be clean and dry as
–
well as free of oil and dirt as this is
important for safe guidance of the
machine
Check contacts in the battery
–
compartment of the machine for
foreign bodies
Insert battery correctly – it must
–
engage audibly
Never use a defective or deformed
–
battery
The machine must only be operated in a
safe condition – risk of accident!
Switching on the machine
Place the machine on a level surface for
switching it on. The machine must not be
tilted when starting the engine.
Do not switch on the machine in high
grass or when set to the lowest cutting
height.
The machine must only be operated with
the cover closed.
During operation
Always ensure firm and secure footing.
In case of imminent danger or
emergency, switch off the machine
immediately and remove the activation
key and battery.
15 m (50 ft)
No other person is allowed within a
radius of 15 m – risk of injury due to
objects thrown up by the machine!
Maintain this distance to things also
(vehicles, window panes) – risk of
property damage!
