Clothing and equipment
Use proper clothing and equipment.
Clothing must be fit for
purpose and not restrict
movement. Wear long
pants.
Do not wear clothing that can get caught
in brush or moving parts of the machine.
Do not wear a scarf, tie or jewellery. Tie
up and secure long hair (bandana, cap,
etc.).
Wear sturdy shoes with
non-slip soles.
WARNING
To reduce the risk of eye
injuries, wear close-fit-
ting safety glasses
according to standard
EN 166. Ensure that the
safety glasses fit
correctly.
Wear sturdy gloves dur-
ing transport and for all
work on the cutting blade.
"Personal" noise protection is
recommended, e.g. ear muffs.

Notes on the machine
Do not make any modifications to the
machine – safety may be compromised.
STIHL excludes all liability for personal
injury and damage to property resulting
from the use of non-approved
attachments.
Transporting the machine
Always switch off the machine, let the
cutting blade come to a standstill and
remove the activation key and battery,
even when transporting the machine
over short distances. This will prevent
the engine starting unintentionally.
Wear gloves.

The machine must be carried by two
people.
Both hands on the cover (1)
–
Left hand on the left bracket, right
–
hand on the right bracket (2)
Always ensure sufficient distance
between the cutting blade and body,
particularly the feet and legs.
Only transport the machine once the
engine has cooled down.
In vehicles: Secure the machine and
transported machine parts (e.g. grass
catcher box) against tipping over, rolling
away and damage. Attach ropes or
straps to the machine handles.
Cleaning the machine
Do not use high-pressure cleaners to
clean the machine. The powerful water
jet can damage parts of the machine.
Do not wash down the machine with
water.
Storing the machine
When the machine is not in use, it must
be parked in such a way that no one is
endangered. Secure the machine
against unauthorised access.

Accessories and spare parts
Only attach cutting blades or
accessories that have been approved by
STIHL for this machine. If you have
questions, consult a specialist dealer.
Only use high-quality tools or
accessories. Otherwise there may be a
risk of accidents resulting in damage to
the machine.
STIHL recommends the use of genuine
STIHL tools and accessories. Their
properties are optimally adapted to the
product and the user's requirements.
