Before starting a program
Make sure that:
The filters are clean and correctly installed.
The spray arms are not clogged.
There is rinse aid (unless you use multi- tablets).
Factors affecting performance
Using rinse aid
Rinse aid greatly improves drying and reduces water
spots and filming. Without rinse aid, your dishes and
dishwasher interior will have excessive moisture.
In addition, the Extra Dry option will not perform as
well without rinse aid. The rinse aid dispenser, located
next to the detergent cup, automatically releases a
measured amount of rinse aid during the last rinse.
If spotting or poor drying is a problem, increase
the amount of rinse aid dispensed. Refer to section
"Adjusting the rinse aid level".
If the rinse aid is low, the rinse aid indicator turns on
at the beginning and end of the cycle indicating that
it is time to refill. Refer to section "Before first use" >
"Filling the rinse aid dispenser".
Water temperature
Hot water is required for optimum dishwashing and
drying results. Water entering the dishwasher should
be at least 120°F (49°C) to achieve satisfactory results.
To check water temperature entering dishwasher:
1. Turn on the hot water faucet near the dishwasher
and let it run for several minutes.
2. Hold a thermometer (a candy or meat

deactivate the appliance and disconnect the
mains plug from the main socket.
Dirty filters and clogged spray arms decrease
the washing results. Make a check regularly
and, if necessary, clean them.
Cleaning the exterior
It's best to clean spills on the outside of your
dishwasher as they occur. Use a soft, damp cloth on
the control panel to gently wipe away spills and dust.
Do not use benzene, wax, thinner, chlorine bleach,
or alcohol. These materials may discolor the exterior
and cause stains. Do not clean the dishwasher by
sprinkling water over it and avoid letting water come
into contact with any of the electrical parts.
Before maintenance,

thermometer will work) in the water stream to
check the temperature. If temperature is below
120°F (49°C), have a qualified person raise the hot
water heater thermostat setting.
Important! To make sure that the water entering the
dishwasher is hot, run hot water from the nearest hot
water faucet to clear cool water from the pipe before
starting the cycle.
Extra Dry function
The Extra Dry function, when used with a rinse aid,
enhances drying performance. If you do not choose
the Extra Dry function, items in your load that will not
be completely dry at the end of the cycle.
Water pressure
For optimum performance, the hot water supply for
your dishwasher must provide water pressure of
at least 5.8 psi and no more than 145 psi. You may
experience low water pressure during high-demand
periods, such as when laundry or showers are in
use while you are washing the dishes. To avoid this
problem, wait until hot water demand is reduced
before starting the dishwasher.
If your dishwasher has a stainless steel door panel,
you can clean it with a stainless steel cleaner for
Home Appliances or a similar product using a clean,
soft cloth.
Cleaning the interior
Clean the interior of your dishwasher regularly to
remove any dirt or food particles. Wipe the inside of
the dishwasher and the inner part of the door with a
wet dishcloth. Do not remove the sealing gaskets for
cleaning and take special care not to damage them.
The sealing gaskets should be checked regularly and
must be replaced immediately if worn or damaged.
We recommend that you fill the detergent dispenser
with detergent, and then run the dishwasher empty
on a Normal or Express 60 cycle with the sanitize
option on a regular basis. This will keep your
dishwasher clean.
