7 Disconnecting from Voltage Sources

6.5 Grid Code File

INFORMATION
Selecting the correct grid code is important in
order to comply with the local and national
standards.
If the desired grid code is not available, or if the
LCS-Tool displays a warning about
incompatible software versions, the grid code
and software library must be updated on the
LCS-Tool.
Customer-specific grid code files with adjusted
set values can be obtained from SMA Solar
Technology AG.

6.6 Configuring the Fallback

If the communication between the inverter and the
SMA Inverter Manager is interrupted, the inverter
switches to a previously defined operating state
(Fallback). The desired operating state when
communication is interrupted, can be activated and
configured with the customer-specific grid code file or
via the LCS-Tool. For further information on the
configuration of the system fallback between the
SMA Inverter Manager and a superior control unit
(e.g. SCADA system or Power Plant Controller) see
installation manual of the SMA Inverter Manager /
SMA Digital I/O Box / LCS Tool.

Observe the specifications of your electric
utility company.

7 Disconnecting from
Voltage Sources
STP 60-10 with one-piece enclosure lid or SHP
75-10 with two-piece enclosure lid
1. Disconnect the AC miniature circuit breaker from
all 3 line conductors and secure against
reconnection.
2. Set the DC load-break switch to O and secure
against reconnection.
3. Disconnect the DC power supply in the
distribution board (DC-Combiner).
4. Use a current clamp to ensure that no current is
present in the DC cables. Information:
Depending on the model, several positive and
negative pole lines are connected to the inverter.
Always ensure that there is no current on all DC
lines.
5. Wait 60 minutes before opening the enclosure
lid. For SHP 75-10 it is possible to actively
discharge the DC link after ten minutes. To do
this, carry out the following steps with increased
caution until the last step "Actively discharge DC
link".
6. Open the installation area ((see Section 5.6,
page 26)).
7. Use an appropriate measuring device to ensure
that no voltage is present at the AC terminal
block between L1 and PE, L2 and PE, L3 and
PE, L1 and L2, L2 and L3 and L1 and L3.
8. Ensure that no voltage is present at the DC inputs
of the inverter using a suitable measuring device.
9. Only for SHP 75-10: To actively discharge the
DC link, measure with the voltage detector either
at contacts A ( - ) and C ( + ) of MK104 plug, or
at the right contact of fuse F200 ( + ) and the
right terminal of choke L201 ( - ) until a value
close to 0 V is displayed. For this purpose use, for
example, a 2-pole voltage detector that does not
have its own voltage source.
STP 60-10 with two-piece enclosure lid
1. Disconnect the AC miniature circuit breaker from
all 3 line conductors and secure against
reconnection.
