6.3.2 Lighting the fire
Before lighting the fire, ensure the ash drawer is flush with the seal:
► Open the firebox door.
► Place the logs in the middle of the grate in the
firebox (Fig. 11):
► place the first 2 (

► Ignite the kindling.

The firebox glass must be supplied with sufficient window air
to prevent soot build-up.
Opening the ash drawer whilst lighting can cause heavy soot
build-up on the firebox glass.
► Do not open the ash drawer whilst heating.
► Before using your stove, always ensure the ash drawer
is flush with the seal.
6.3.3 When to add fuel
The iQ technology will notify when to add fuel.
To minimise emissions, fuel should always be added at the optimal time:

The LED shows the following errors:

CAUTION: HEATING MALFUNCTIONS
When using too much fuel in the stove (overload), the controller fails (power failure), or
the LED shows error messages:
► Keep the firebox door closed.
► Never extinguish the burn-off with water.
► Allow the fire to burn out controlled.
WARNING: POWER FAILURE
In the event of a power failure, the controller is not ready for use. If you start the stove
during a power failure, toxic flue gases may enter the living space:
► Never operate the stove in the event of a power failure.

6.3.5 Adding fuel
CAUTION: ADDING FUEL
The stove becomes very hot whilst heating:
► Open the firebox door carefully using the included stove glove.
► Carefully add fuel.
► Avoid the firebed becoming too high.
► Always keep the firebox door and ash drawer closed
whilst heating.
► Regularly clean the firebox.
Once the LED starts flashing, fuel can be added:
► Open the firebox door.
► Add two logs (
of the firebox (face forward).
► Keep approx. 5 cm from the firebox glass (Fig. 13).
