12. PERIODIC CHECKS
The fluids inside the equipment are not normally corrosive. Application in particularly aggressive
environments can lead to the deterioration of the outer surface of the equipment. In the presence of
deteriorated out surfaces of the shell and/or connections, check the thickness by comparing them with
the minimum values indicated in the following table. If the measured thickness is less than the minimum
indicated, it is necessary to replace the equipment. The thickness check on the components must be
carried out in any case every 10 years without prejudice to the requirements of any regulatory entities
which are binding if more stringent than those provided above.
