1. INTRODUCTION
The equipment described in this manual is built in accordance with mandatory safety standards. It is
recommended not to use it before having read this manual in order to inform users on the conduct to be
followed in order to ensure healthy and safety conditions in the workplace. The manual contains
information about safety, installation, operation and maintenance of the equipment.
Manufacturer disclaims any liability related to damages and/or injury to persons, animals or things
caused by:
• Tampering with pressurised equipment,
• Non-conforming use thereof,
• Non-compliance with applicable safety and accident prevention regulations,
• Failure to comply with the content of this operator's instruction manual,

2. CONSERVATION
Please bear in mind that this operator's instruction manual is an integral part of the equipment, must
therefore accompany it in every movement, and be kept in good conditions in a place easily accessible
to personnel. This manual does not exempt from compliance with existing laws on safety and accident
prevention. This manual reflects the state of the machine at the time of commissioning; Manufacturer,
therefore, reserves the right to update it without any obligation to adapt previous versions.

4. DESCRIPTION OF FAMILY
The equipment in question is a heat exchanger, FF or AXL-FF SERIES.
The FF series heat exchanger can operate in two modes: it can be used to recover the heat from the fluid
present in the tubes (chamber 2) and heating the fluid present in the shell (chamber 1) of the heat
exchanger, or vice versa. This product range has different possible configuration as extractable and
straight configuration. A practical example is shown in the following Fig.1.
The AXL-FF series heat exchanger, as shown in below drawing, recovers heat from the fluid in the tubes
to heat the fluid in a tank, or inversely.
