B – Using the hob
1. The glass-ceramic hobs have 6 power
levels. (See below)
2. Turn the control dial to the desired position.
3. The hob operating indicator lights up on the
control panel. The heat indicator of the hob
in use lights up on the hob itself.
4. For optimal cooking, use pans with thick
and perfectly flat bases.
5. The size of the pan should be similar to that
of the cooking zone. To save energy, you
can switch off the cooking zone before the
end of cooking, so as to use the residual
heat from the hob.
Warning:
The values supplied with the appliance or the accompanying documents are
laboratory values in compliance with the respective standards. These values may vary according
to use and ambient conditions.
Warning:
The residual heat indicator remains lit at the end of cooking, even after you've
switched off the hob. This indicator means that the zone temperature is above 65 ºC. Risk of
severe burns. Do not touch this area or around it while the LED is lit. The residual heat indicator
will automatically switch off when the heat level drops below 65ºC.
Precautions for use
For optimal cooking results, please observe the following precautions:
- When you use the cooker for the fist time, switch on and run your electric hob on position 6
for 5 minutes. This way, the heat-sensitive agent on your hob will harden under the effect of
combustion.

- Never cook food directly on the hob. This is not a frying pan and should not be used as such.
- Use flat-bottomed cookware that matches the size of the heating zone.
- Always use cookware (pots, pans) with diameters that completely cover the heating zone so that
all available heat can be utilised.
