8.2. Threading the lower looper
1. Open the looper cover.
2. Turn the handwheel (38) towards you until the lower looper (48) is in
a favourable position for threading.
3. Guide the thread through the eye on the telescopic thread guide (5).

4. Lift the handle (6) and guide the thread under the handle and ten-
sion the thread into the rear thread guide for the lower looper (27).
5. Place the thread between the two discs on the thread tensioner (8).
The thread must be correctly positioned between the two discs on the
thread tensioner.

6. Insert the thread into the middle guide nose of the thread guide for
the looper threads (11). (Fig. B)
