SAFETY INFORMATION
3.1
Safety information in these instructions for use
The electronic measuring station supports physicians in decision-making regard-
ing diagnosis or therapy, based on the patient's weight or height.
By that, the electronic measuring station only provides an indirect clinical benefit.
The physician must perform additional examinations for an accurate diagnosis.
The device is intended for persons of any gender and age, with the exception of
babies. There are restrictions with regard to weight and height (refer to informa-
tion in the "Technical data" section).
Devices shipped partly assembled may only be assembled by sufficiently quali-

fied persons (such as specialist dealers, hospital technicians or seca Service
technicians).
Operation
The device may be operated only by medical specialists.

Body mass index (BMI) can be calculated automatically from the measuring re-
sults.
The USB interface allows the
PC by means of a suitable USB cable (USB 2.0, mini USB type B, max. cable
length: 1.8 m). This makes it possible to process the weight values displayed us-
ing the customer's own software solution.
