Setting up the device
WARNING!
Injury from device falling over
The device is intended as a mobile medical device and is therefore not
anchored permanently to a wall or the floor. A device with handrail fit-
ted may tip over if not used in accordance with the intended purpose
(e.g. as a "stand assist").
► Ensure that the patient does not use the device as a stand assist.
► Always set up devices with a handrail at a distance of 5 to 10 cm
from the wall.
The distance of at least 5 cm from the wall prevents faulty mea-
surements. The distance of no more than 10 cm stops the device
tipping over towards the wall.
CAUTION!
Faulty measurement as a result of devices being set up incorrectly
Soft floors, such as wooden boards, give under the patient's weight
and falsify the measuring result. Incorrect ambient conditions or lack of
alignment lead to measurement errors.
► Select a setup location with a level, stable floor in order to achieve
precise measuring results.
► Use the device only in the intended ambient conditions outlined in
the section entitled "Technical data".
► Ensure the device is aligned before using it and every time it
changes location.
► Place the device on a firm, level surface.
