8.D FONCTIONS «EQ» INTRODUCTION
The application will allow you to calibrate the sound of your TRIANGLE CAPELLA according to the charac-
teristics of your room and then make sound adjustments according to your preferences.
To understand and understand the "EQ" possibi-
lities of your application, here are some acoustic
concepts.
The human ear can perceive frequencies ranging
from 20 Hz to 20,000 Hz.
The lower the number, the lower the frequencies.
And vice versa. The basis is as follows: 20 Hz is the
bass, 20,000 Hz is the treble. Between the two are
a multitude of nuances and details.
The older we get, the less efficient the ear is at
high frequencies. The 20,000 Hz is heard when you
are under 20 years old, then the ear declines and
loses 1000 Hz approximately every 10 years.
Eight frequency zones:
Subsonic frequencies (1 Hz – 20 Hz)
Earthquakes and by the big organs / rather vibra-
tions
Very low frequencies (20 Hz – 40 Hz)
Bass drums, bass notes from a piano or bass guitar
Low frequencies (40 Hz – 160 Hz)
Foundations of music in the bass / roundness and
impact
EN
86
Mid-low frequencies (160 Hz – 315 Hz)
Middle C note on the piano
Mid frequencies (315 Hz – 2.5 KHz) phone speaker
Mid-high frequencies (2.5 Khz – 5 KHz)
Peak where the human ear is most sensitive
High frequencies (5 Khz – 10 Khz)
Harmonics of notes produced in previous bands
directive
Very high frequencies (10 KHz – 20 KHz)
Highest harmonic notes specific to certain instru-
ments
The application uses the DSP present in the Ste-
reo Hub to act on each of these frequencies or
frequency ranges and thus modulate the sound to
your liking
