27. Reinstall the TIPM (1) to it's mounting bracket. Make
sure all retaining tabs (2) are fully engaged.
28. Install the B+ cable and nut (1) to the terminal located
on the TIPM. Tighten nut to 25 N-m (221 in-lbs.).
29. Reinstall the TIPM cover.
WIRELESS CONTROL MODULE (WCM) AND REMOTE START ANTENNA INSTALLATION
WARNING: To avoid serious or fatal injury on vehicles equipped with airbags, disable the Supplemental Restraint
System (SRS) before attempting any steering wheel, steering column, airbag, seat belt tensioner, impact sensor
or instrument panel component diagnosis or service. Disconnect and isolate the battery negative (ground) ca
ble, then wait two minutes for the system capacitor to discharge before performing further diagnosis or service.
This is the only sure way to disable the SRS. Failure to take the proper precautions could result in accidental
airbag deployment.
1. Using a C4755 trim stick or another equivalent, gen
tly pry the edges of the instrument panel end cap trim
panel (1) to remove. Repeat for the opposite side.
