• The correct equipment for hiking consists of:

• Sun protection
• Temperature and activity-appropriate clothing
• First-aid equipment
• Stable mountaineering or hiking boots
• Appropriate eye-protection
Putting on the snowshoes
Note
Before starting your first snow-hike, you
should practice putting on your pur-
chased item. It's best to do so outdoors
so that you don't scratch any indoor
surfaces.
Take note of the right and left markings
on the item.
1. Adjust the heel strap (1c) according to your
shoe size. The indicated shoe sizes can be
found on the heel strap (Fig. B).
2. Position the snowshoes evenly on the ground
with the fastening opened. Step into the snow-
shoe with your foot aligned forward (Fig. C).
Afterwards, pull the heel strap attached to the
dressing aid (1d) to ankle-height. Now place
your foot completely back, flush with the heel
strap (Fig. D).
3. Pull the tensioning strap (1b) tightly. Tighten the
fastening so that the item is positioned straight
and tight. Click the quick-fastening clip (1a)
over the tensioned strap to fasten the fasten-
ing tightly. Fasten the tensioning straps to the
mounted fastening clips (Fig. E).
4. If you'd like to use the item without the climbing
assistance, fold the climbing assistance (1e)
backwards (Fig. F).
5. If you'd like to use the item with the climbing
assistance, fold the climbing assistance (1e)
forwards (Fig. G).
Note!
Check the correct positioning of your
foot by folding the climbing assistance
upwards. In the upward position the
climbing assistance should be placed in
the middle of you heel.
Using the product on terrain
• To use the product uphill, fold the heel lifter
(1e) upward (Fig. G).
Loosen the latch (1g) by pushing together and
then back (Fig. F).
• To use the product downhill, fold the heel lifter
(1e) downward (Fig. F).
Fasten the latch (1g) by pushing together and
then forward (Fig. G).
• To use the product on even terrain, fold the heel
lifter (1e) backward (Fig. F).
Loosen the latch (1g) by pushing together and
then back (Fig. F).
Taking off the snowshoes
To unfasten the tensioning strap (1b), press the
quick-fastening fastener (1a) outwards. After-
wards, you can pull your foot out of the halter
(Fig. H).
Claw protective cover
When not in use, cover the item with the pro-
tective covering (2) which was supplied in the
package contents.
Open both fastenings (2a) on the protective claw
covering (2). Place the item with the claws facing
down towards the protective claw covering. Place
the elastics around the item and fasten the fasten-
ings (2a) (Fig. I).
Equipment
Shoes
Typical commercial mountaineering, trekking or
hiking boots can be used.
Clothing
Adapt your clothing to the current local weather
conditions. In changing weather the option of
dressing in layers is best. In this way you can
adapt your clothing to the current local weather
conditions quickly.
