2. Turn the device on. Wait until the max-
imum stroke rate has been reached.
3. Press the saw blade (17) into the work-
piece until the footplate (13) rests on
the workpiece.
4. Continue sawing along the cutting line.
General Information
With this order, you work safely with the
sabre saw and achieve a good result:
1. Clamp the workpiece. Use a clamping
device for small workpieces.
2. Draw a line to specify the direction in
which the saw blade is guided.
3. Hold the device securely by the
handle.
4. Set the stroke rate.
5. Set the mitre angle.
6. Set the stroke strength.
7. Turn the device on.
8. Wait until the device has reached its
full stroke rate.
9. Place the footplate on the workpiece.
10. Slowly move the device along the
marked line, pressing the footplate
firmly down onto the workpiece.
11. Do not apply too much pressure in the
cutting direction. Let the device do the
work.
12. Before shutting down the device, switch
it off and wait for it to come to a com-
plete standstill.
Start lock
The device has a start lock for your safety.
• Only insert the battery when the On/
Off switch is in the "0" (OFF) position.
• If you insert the battery when the On/
Off switch is in the "I" (ON) position,
the device will be locked.
Move the On/Off switch (3) back to
the "0" (OFF) position. You can switch
the device on as described.
• If one of the two On/Off switches is in
the "1" (ON) position, it must first be
switched back to the "0" (OFF) posi-
tion in order to be able to restart the
device.
• If both On/Off switches are in the
"1" (ON) position, they must first be
switched back to the "0" (OFF) posi-
tion in order to be able to restart the
device.
Inserting and removing the
battery
 WARNING! Risk of injury due to
unintentional start-up. Only insert the re-
chargeable battery into the device once
the device is fully prepared for use.
NOTICE! Risk of damage! An incorrect
battery can damage the device and bat-
tery.
Inserting the battery (Fig. G)
1. Push the battery (29) along the guide
into the battery holder in the handle
(5).
You will hear the battery click into
place.
Removing the battery (Fig. G)
1. Press and hold the battery release (28)
on the battery (29).
2. Remove the battery from the handle
(5).
Switching on and off
Switching on
1. Insert the rechargeable battery (29) in-
to the device.
2. Set the stroke rate using the rotary
wheel (1).
3. Move the On/Off switch (3) forward
to the "I" (ON) position.
Switching off
1. Move the On/Off switch (3) back to
the "0" (OFF) position.
