Switch off the device and remove
the battery before carrying out any
maintenance work.

chain must be readjusted after a

Removing/inserting the
rechargeable battery
1. To insert the batteries (13) into the de-
vice, push the batteries along the guide
rails into the device. You will hear
them click into place.
2. To remove the batteries (13) from the
device, press the release button
(14) on the batteries and pull the
batteries out.
Operating
Switch on the chainsaw only when
chain bar, saw chain and sprocket
chain wheel covering are correctly
assembled.

Before starting, ensure that the electric
chainsaw is in contact with no objects.
Never operate the device without the

Switching on
1. Place the battery (13) into the device
(see "Inserting/removing the recharge-
able battery").
2. Check the load status of the recharge-
able battery before starting.

3. Hold the device firmly with both hands,
with your right hand on the handle
(5) and left hand on the grip (2). Your
thumb and fingers must tightly clasp the
handle (5). Never use the device one-
handed. Risk of injury!
4. To turn on, press the switch lock (3)
with your thumb or index finger and
then press the on/off switch (4); the
device will run at maximum speed. Re-
lease the switch lock (3).
5. The device will switch off again when
you release the on/off switch (4). The
device cannot be switched to continu-
ous operation.
Battery charge level
indicator
The charge level of the batteries is indi-
cated by illumination of the corresponding
LED lights of the battery charge level indi-
cator (7) during operation.
