used on patients who are uncooperative, obtunded, unresponsive, or unable to remove the mask. This mask may not be
suitable for persons with the following conditions: impaired cardiac sphincter function, excessive reflux, impaired cough
reflex, and hiatal hernia.
Magnets are used in the mask and headgear clips with a field strength of 380mT. With the exception of the devices
identified in the contraindication, ensure that the mask is kept at least 6 inches (approx.16 cm) away from any other
medical implants or medical devices that can be impacted by the magnetic fields to avoid possible effects from localized
magnetic fields. This applies to you or anyone in close physical contact with your mask.
This mask has a non-transferable three month limited warranty for manufacturer's defects from the date of purchase by the initial
consumer. If a mask used under normal conditions should fail, Sleepnet will replace the mask. For additional information about
the Sleepnet Warranty, please visit http://www.sleepnetmasks.com/. Per EU MDR 2017/745, please report serious incidents to
manufacturer and EU Member State competent authority.
NOTE: The mask has a service life of 6 months.
Cleaning is recommended on a daily basis. Wash the mask and components in warm water using a mild soap such as Ivory
thoroughly after washing. Visually verify that the swivel elbow is not obstructed and allow the mask to air dry.
NOTE: Inspect mask and valve prior to each use. Replace the mask if parts are damaged or gel is exposed due to tear or punctures.
NOTE: The gel cushion, although silky to touch, will not tear, leak or detach from the mask under normal use. Follow
recommended cleaning and maintenance protocols. The gel cushion is not indestructible. It will tear, cut and rip if
subjected to mishandling or abuse. Do not clean in a dishwashing machine. The warranty does not cover these types of
product failures. Therefore, please handle your new Mojo
Resistance to air flow at 50 L/min: 0.1 cm H
DEADSPACE VOLUME (mL approx.) Small 177 mL Medium 194 mL Large 209 mL Extra Large 218 mL
Do not expose the mask to temperatures above 122°F (50°C).
Inspect mask daily or prior to each use. Replace the mask if parts are damaged, or if gel is exposed due to tears or punctures.
1. Verify the mask is the right size. When using the sizing guide ensure mouth is slightly open. Line the top of the guide to the
bridge of the nose and select the smallest size that does not restrict the nose or mouth. The appropriate size may be smaller
than expected due to the design.
2. Lay headgear flat with light gray side facing up with the shorter straps at the top. Place mask in the center of the headgear,
and thread all 4 straps (Figure 1).
3. Unhook one or both magnetic clips from the mask. Seat the bottom cushion of the mask at the crease of the chin with your
mouth slightly open and tip the mask up to contact the nose (Figure 2). Turn the forehead adjustment screw so the forehead
pad lightly touches your forehead (Figure 6). The mask may sit lower on the nose than expected, depending on facial features.
4. Slip the headgear over the head, hook the magnetic clips in place. (Figure 3). The headgear should be flat across the back of
the head.
5. Adjust lower headgear straps by using the hook and loop fastener tabs (Figure 4).
6. Adjust upper headgear straps: detach the hook and loop fastener tabs and pull straps forward to center mask over face. Ensure
headgear is centered by aligning the two straps. Then pull the straps back, adjust strap tension and affix tabs. (Figure 5)
7. Turn the forehead pad adjustment screw to adjust tension until comfortable. If necessary, readjust top straps for
a comfortable fit.
8. If the mask is uncomfortable repeat steps 5-8.
NOTE:
I.
If breathing through your nose or mouth is still constricted, contact your healthcare professional.
II. The mask should rest comfortably against the face. If there is excessive pressure on the bridge of the nose, loosen the
top straps, slowly turn the adjustment screw counter-clockwise to relieve the pressure on the bridge (Figure 6). Then
readjust the top straps and affix the tabs.
9. Attach the mask elbow to the device (CPAP, bi-level, ventilator) tubing; turn the device on and verify airflow through the mask.
10. Gently press edges of the mask to change mask shape, create a comfortable fit, and reduce leaks.
11. If leaks are noticed around the chin or the cheeks, slightly tighten the bottom straps.
12. If leaks are noticed at the bridge of the nose, slowly turn the adjustment screw clockwise to slightly move the pad
away from the forehead (Figure 6). Then tighten the top straps slightly until leaks are eliminated. This may be done in
conjunction with molding the mask in the bridge area as described in Step 10 above.
NOTE:
I.
DO NOT overtighten any straps. Overtightening can worsen leaks. For optimal seal and comfort, mask should be snug, but
not tight.
Unhook magnetic clips and lift away from face. Remove mask and headgear assembly.
