START-UP PROCEDURE

connect

CO player to the AC outlet by means
of
the
eypacked
power cord. After the CD player has been connected to the
mains, it operates in standby mode
.
Press
the POWER key [241 or one of the transport keys to
switch on the unit;
the display
is
illuminated and shows
the origin date and version number of the installed
soft-
ware.

(protection
against
unintentional off-switching)

by mode.

Inserting the compact disc
When
the
LOAD
key

player

switched on and the disc drawer

opens

Insert
the
c onpact disc with the label (prInted side) facing up into
the compartment and close the drawer by pressing the LOAD

again.
The open drawer can also be
closed by
pressing
the PLAY key

which has the effect that
the
compact disc wi l, be immediately played starting with the
first selection (TRACK)
.
During
the start procedure (stabilizing the disc
speed,
reading
the table of contents) the
TRAC~

flashes on the display.
