Feature description
The Dräger Panorama Nova facepieces are available in the following different
versions:
As full face mask (consisting of mask body with harness connecting piece
and head harness)
As mask/helmet combination (consisting of mask body without harness
connecting piece, with mask/helmet adapter and corresponding helmet)
The facepieces are designed as follows:
RA round-thread connector RD40x1/7" according to EN 148-1 for
respiratory filters, powered air-purifying respirators, self-contained open-
circuit breathing apparatuses or airline equipment
PE threaded connection M45x3 according to EN 148-3 for self-contained
open-circuit breathing apparatuses or airline equipment
ESA standard plug-in connector according to DIN 58600 for self-contained
open-circuit breathing apparatuses and airline equipment (and respiratory
filters according to EN 14387)
P plug-in connector (Dräger-specific) for self-contained open-circuit
breathing apparatuses or airline equipment
For ESA-type connectors:
Exhalation resistances do not comply with EN 136 if respiratory filters with
round-thread connectors according to DIN EN 148-1 are used. Normal-
pressure self-contained open-circuit breathing apparatuses or normal-pressure
airline equipment must not be connected to this thread.
Mask spectacles can be inserted for users who wear spectacles.
The facepieces can be used at temperatures from –30 °C to +60 °C.

Intended use
The facepieces protect the face and eyes from aggressive media.

Limitations on use
WARNING
Beards and sideburns in the sealing area of the full face mask will cause
leakages. Therefore, the full face masks should not be used by anyone with
facial hair of this sort. Earpieces in the sealing area also cause leakages.
► Use special mask spectacles.

Approvals
The full face masks are approved according to:
● EN 136:1998 CL 3+
● AS/NZS 1716:2012
● (EU) 2016/425
● (EU) 2016/425 as brought into UK law and amended
● TP TC 019/2011
The mask/helmet combinations are also approved according to:
● DIN 58610:2014

Both versions meet the flame engulfment requirements stipulated in
EN 137:2006.
Full face masks must not be retrofitted to a mask-helmet combination.
The facepieces may only be used with approved SCBAs, powered air purifying
respirators, airline equipment or respiratory filters.
The full face masks have been tested for use in explosion-hazard areas in
accordance with 2014/34/EU. The full face masks can be used in the following
zones:
