7.0 Functional Components
Connecting frame (Fig.7.1):
The connecting frame acts as a parking stand, and
fascilitates easy docking/manoeuvring when the add-on
bike is disconnected from the wheelchair.
The height of the stand wheels can be adjusted using the
bolts, (A).
WARNING!
• The stand wheels must always stay min 30.0 mm
above the ground, when the add-on bike is connected
to the wheelchair.
• The stand wheels must be always adjusted so that the
stand of the add-on bike remains stable when the add-
on bike is disconnected from the wheelchair.
Brakes:
The add-on bike has two brakes that work independently
from one another.
Parking brake (Fig.7.2 ):
The parking brake is assembled to the fork and locks in
automatically when activated. Therefore the red lever
must lock in. The add-on bike should not move with
activated parking brake to make sure parking is safe
To release the parking brake just push the red lever.
Main brakes (Fig.7.3):
The brakes allow you to safely and comfortably brake
your add-on bike.
Performance brake lever (Fig.7.4):
The Performance brake lever (optional) gives you the
possibility to adjust the lever-feel and the way that the
main brake is applied.
Turning the red adjusting screw (A) on the brake lever
clockwise results in a harder lever feel and a better,
linear, controllability of the brake-force.
Turning the red adjusting screw (A) on the brake lever
counter-clockwise will result in a softer lever-feel and
more progressive brake-force.
