7. CUSTOMISATION & MAINTENANCE
LIGHTING AND SIGNALLING SYSTEMS AND ACCESSORIES
These devices must be installed in accordance with Directive 2007/46/EEC modified by Directive 97/28
and Geneva regulation No. 48
This is an officially approved product. Only the modifications suggested in this manual are permitted. To
mount certain items, we allow:
• The fitting of reflectors on the ends of the tube using the method of your choice. The reflectors and
their attachment method must not cover a radius of < 2.5mm.
• Welding of the plates, struts and the tube for installing cable grommets, brackets for sensors and
other accessories. The maximum length of weld beads is 50 mm, spaced not less than 150 mm apart.
• The drilling of holes with max. Ø10 in the tube. At min. 5 mm from the ends, spaced a min. of 150
mm apart along the length and a min. of 50 mm over the height.
• The drilling of holes with a max. Ø10 in the struts. At least 20 mm from any cuts and edges, spaced
40 mm apart. The total number of Ø10 holes must not exceed 10.
The figure below shows the areas where the drilling of holes is prohibited in the motor strut.
• Drilling of holes 12 mm max. in the plates, at least 30 mm from any cuts or edges, and spaced at least
100 mm apart. Holes must not be empty; a bolt or rivet must be inserted in them.
• The trimming of the ends of the tube in accordance with the dimensions in figure 2.
• The trimming of the plates in accordance with the dimensions in figure 3.
• Our profile can accommodate all kinds of lights, but drill holes must be kept to a bare minimum. The
mounting holes must be suitable for the screws, the hole for routing the cable must be 5 mm larger
than that of the connector
PAINTING
When the product is painted, please mask the nameplate (EEC marking – attached to the right-hand
arm) as well as the pictograms.
Take care to mask the jack rods.
