Guarantee
The guarantee solely covers inadequacies caused by material
defect or manufacturing defect.
Original payment voucher with the sales date needs to be
submitted for any claim in the guarantee period.
The guarantee does not cover any unauthorised use such as
appliance overloading, use of violence, damage as a result of
any unauthorised interference or caused by foreign items.
Failing to follow the operating and assembly instructions and
common wear are also not included in the guarantee.
General safety instructions
To be used only in networks with safety
switch against FI stray current.
Always keep your hands and legs out of reach
of the brushes, especially when starting the
appliance. Your hand on the auxiliary handle
should always be free.
Always keep the appliance in a reasonable
safe distance from your body and take stable
stand.
Always wear a facial shield.
Use the appliance only in broad daylight or
under good artificial lighting.
Do not use the appliance when raining and on
wet grass.
Check the appliance for any damage before
using it and after any impact and have it
repaired if necessary.
Do not use the appliance if any guards are
damaged or installed incorrectly.
Make sure the ventilation slots of the engine
are always clean (no impurities and remains).
Make always sure there are no persons and
animals within at least 3 m when you work.
Switch the appliance off immediately should
someone, especially children, get near the
appliance.
Do not get near the rotating parts (in the
cleaning system area) if the appliance is in
operation.

Remove all stones, branches and any other
solid materials from the working area before
using the appliance.
After taking these measures, take
appropriate operating stand before putting
the appliance into operation again.
Be aware of the fact the appliance is still in
operation for five more seconds after
releasing the switch.
Before using the appliance, always carry out a visual
inspection to find out if especially the electric cable and plug
are not damaged.
A joint cleaner that is damaged must not be used.
Have the damaged joint cleaner checked in the GUDE
service department or at an authorised electrician.
Do not use the joint cleaner when raining or in a wet or damp
environment.
Behaviour in case of emergency
Provide necessary first aid treatment corresponding to the
injury nature and seek qualified medical help as soon as
possible.
Protect the injured person from other injuries and calm
him/her down.
Disposal
The disposal instructions are based on icons placed on the
appliance or its package. The description of the meanings
can be found in the "Marking" chapter.
Operating staff requirements
The operator must carefully read and understand the
Operating Instructions before using the appliance.
Qualification: No special qualification is necessary for using
the appliance apart from detailed instruction by an expert.
Minimum age: The appliance can only be operated by
persons over 16 years of age. An exception includes
youngsters operating the appliance within their professional
education to achieve necessary skills under trainer's
supervision.
Training: Using the appliance requires only corresponding
instruction by a professional or reading the Operating
Instructions. No special training necessary.
