6.3 Maintenance
MANUAL DE INSTRUCCIONES
At the beginning of the day
1.
Operate the group head for 20 sec. to drain the
water retained in the circuit. If the machine has
not been used for a long period of time, in mo-
dels with a tank, open the group head until the
heat pipe is full.
2.
Check that the water flows out of the shower
head in a single continuous stream, and if it
does not, clean it with the blind filter. Replace
the shower head and its seal if the problem per-
sists.
3.
Remove any coffee grounds from the previous
day from the dispenser.
4.
Make a coffee and check that it comes out co-
rrectly.
Practical advice
· Warning! In order to maintain the healthiness of the water tank, it must be cleaned at least once a week.
To do so, a solution of water with sodium bicarbonate in a ratio of 10 g per litre of water should be used.
Shake the solution vigorously in the water tank, making sure that all dirt is removed. If limescale deposits
remain, use a long brush. Rinse with plenty of clean water.
Empty the water tank whenever the machine is to remain idle for more than one day.
· Do not stack any more than three cups.
· Avoid reheating milk. Heat small volumes.
· Before heating the milk, open the steam to purge. Once the operation has finished, purge again and clean
the wand with a damp cloth.
At the end of the day
1.
Avoid grinding any more coffee than what will
be consumed at the time, as any coffee that
has been ground should be thrown out the next
day.
2.
Cleaning of the group head (shower head and
discharge pipe) with the help of the blind filter.
3.
Clean the filter and filter holder with hot water.
Check against the light that the filter holes are
not clogged. Leave the filter holder in the group
head without turning it on.
4.
Wipe the steam wand with a damp cloth and
purge it repeatedly (it is recommended to do
this for each emulsion)
5.
Clean any leftover coffee from the drainage
tray.
