9. Repair
The EN/IEC standards and national regulations applicable to the maintenance
of electrical equipment in explosion hazard areas must be observed
(EN/IEC 60079-17).
The required maintenance intervals are application-specific and therefore
should be set according to the local operating conditions. In particular, the
parts on which the ignition protection category depend should be checked
as part of the maintenance test (e.g. integrity and seal of the housing, inte-
grity of the seals and the cable and wire inlets).
Only original parts supplied by ROSE are permissible for spares and repair
work. Repairs affecting explosion protection may only be carried out by
ROSE or a qualified electrical engineer in conformity with the nationally
applicable regulations.
Repairs affecting the explosion protection must only be carried out by
ROSE or a qualified electrician in accordance with national regulations
(EN/IEC 60079-19).
Ensure that the equipment is isolated before opening the enclosure. In the
case of intrinsically safe circuits, working under voltage is permissible.
