3. Standard conformity
This equipment is tested and approved for explosion-hazard areas to:
- Directive 2014/34/EU
- DIN VDE 0100
- EN/IEC 60079-0; EN/IEC 60079-7; EN/IEC 60079-11; EN50303
When installing and operating explosion proof electrical equipment the
recognised national conditions and stipulations concerning electrical equip-
ment in hazardous areas have to be considered.
Ex empty enclosures are base components for electrical / electronical equipment
which can be used after approving in hazardous areas in zones 1, 2, 21, 22.
4. Function
Ex empty enclosures are component certified boxes (with U- approval) and
are only allowed to be used within an Ex area when assembled and reappro-
ved as complete Ex device.
