DISPLAYS
These enable:
1.
either pre-display: signal lamp off
2.
or display of the measured values: signal lamp on of the
welding parameters. The signal lamp stays on 10s after weld-
ing (les valeurs de tension et de courant sont mémorisés
pendant 10s après la fin du soudage).
Depending on the position of the selector switch, the top display
unit enables the display of:
- the welding current in amperes
- the thickness of the material to be welded
- the welding wire feed speed in meters per minute.
The lower display unit shows the welding voltage in volts. The ac-
curacy of the display units is:
- 6% ±0.2V for the voltage display unit
- 6.5% ±2A for the current display unit
OTHERS PARAMETERS:
the values preset in the plant for pre-gas and post-gas and burn-
back control are

INTERNAL ADJUSTMENTS
Although striking voltage,Pre-gas, Post-gas and burn back values
should be changed.
1.
Adjustment of striking voltage from -4 to +6
2.
Pre gas adjustment from 0 to 10s
3.
Post gas adjustment from 0 to 10s
4.
Post retract adjustment from 0 to 100
PRE-GAS, POST-GAS and POST-RETRACT (also called "burn
back") duration are adjustable on the PC board, inside the power
source unit. Adjustment ranges:

PRE-GAZ = 0 - 10s
POST-GAZ = 0 - 10s
The post-retract operates at a fixed time (100 ms) and the adjust-
ment sets the voltage applied during this post-retract time. This
voltage is adjustable from the minimum to maximum voltage of the
power-source.
ALTHOUGH IT'S BETTER TO MODIFY THOSE ADJUSTMENT
ONLY IN CASE OF ABSOLUTE NECESSITY.

MAINTENANCE
Twice a year, according to how often the set is used, inspect:
1.
the general cleanliness of the power source
2.
the electrical and gas connections.
CAUTION: NEVER CLEAN OR MAKE REPAIRS ON THE IN-
SIDE OF THE SET WITHOUT FIRST MAKING SURE THAT THE
SET HAS BEEN DISCONNECTED FROM THE MAINS.
Remove the power source panels and vacuum up any dust
and particles which have accumulated between the magnetic
circuits and the transformer windings. Always fit a plastic
nozzle when cleaning these parts so as not to damage the
winding insulation.
CAUTION: TWICE A YEAR
CAREFULLY VACUUM THE ELECTRONIC CIRCUITS, TAK-
ING CARE TO ENSURE THAT THE NOZZLE DOES NOT DAM-
AGE THE COMPONENTS.
If the power source develops a malfunction, before trying to
diagnose the problem, perform the following steps, check:
1.
the electrical connections on the power, control and supply
circuits.
2.
the condition of the insulation, cables and lines.
CAUTION: AT EACH STARTUP OF THE WELDING SET AND
BEFORE ANY SAV TECHNICAL SERVICING OPERATIONS,
CHECK:
1.
that power terminals are not poorly tightened
2.
that the coupling is right
3.
the gas flow
4.
the condition of the torch
5.
the kind and diameter of the wire
6.
the connection of the cooling unit earth clamp and that the 2-
way circuit-breaker has tripped
