WIRE FEEDER UNIT CONNECTION
- Turn the welding set OFF
- Connect the control cable connector
- Connect the power cable to one of the 2 coil (Citomag 400),
3 coil (Citomag 500) outputs
- Connect the earth lead
5.4
GAS INLET CONNECTION (ON PRESSURE REGULATOR)
CAUTION: BE CAREFUL TO SECURE THE GAS CYLINDER
BY PUTTING A SAFETY STRAP BACK IN PLACE.
5.5
IN CASE OF AUTOMATICAL USING
Connect to B3 connector of regulation card
(4-pin mini fit type):
- trigger input between pins 1 and 2 on B3 -
connect this input on a dry contact
- current relay input between pins 3 and 4 on
B3 - this output is a dry contact relay 1A/42V
maxi.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
6.1
CHOOSE THE WIRE
The metal to be welded requires the use of wire of an adapted
type and diameter, as well as the use of the appropriate gas.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
The gas hose is fitted with the
harness, coming from the wire
feed unit to the power source.
Connect this hose to the output
of the regulation as indicated
hereafter.
- Place the gas cylinder on trol-
ley at the rear of the power
source and fasten the cylinder
by means of the strap.
- Open the cylinder valve
slightly and close it to allow
any impurities to escape.
- Fit the pressure regulator/
flowmeter.
- Connect the gas hose deliv-
ered with the power source to
the pressure-regulator outlet.
- Open the gas.
- In welding, the gas flow rate
should be between 15 and 20l/
min.

Depending on the wire used, it may be necessary to reverse the
voltage polarity applied in welding. This adjustment is carried out
on the power-source front panel.
Changing the polarity of welding voltage:
- General use for steel and flux cored wires MIG-MAG
Polarity - on earth clamp
Polarity + on torch (harness)
- For some flux cored wires (basic, Air LiquideDUAL Zn...)
Polarity + on earth clamp
Polarity - on torch (harness)
- The CITOMAG has 3 smoothing choke outputs: one
for MAG welding with CO2, the 2 others for MIG-MAG
welding with pure or mixed gases
Coil position: "Moist" weld bead soft arc help in use of
source
Coil position: dynamic and penetrating arc
use of MAG with CO2 gas...
