ATEX pump connection with equipotential bonding
The following additional requirements must be taken into account for the electrical installation so that the pumps can be
operated in a potentially explosive atmosphere:
The minimum cross-section of the mains cables to the control unit must be 6 mm
depending on which cross-section is larger (see "Technical data", page 30).
The equipotential bonding (to EN 60079-14) is to be executed as an earthing cable at the submersible pumps with at least
4 mm
cross-section. The earthing cable is routed, not self-tripping, between the earthing screw and the screw retainer on
2
the terminal.
To do this, proceed as follows:
WARNUNG
Note and follow the operating instructions and/or leaflet of the corresponding pump
Before connecting the pump, check whether the motor protection switch of the control unit is suitable for the power con-
sumption of the pump(s) (see type plate).
This system's ATEX pumps can have a 6 or 9-wire cable. Double assignment of the phases in the control unit is provided
for 9-wire cables.
Printed board connections for the wastewater pump(s) (ATEX)
Route the green-yellow earthing cable from the pump to the control unit and feed into the control unit via a separate cable
gland (enclosed).
Set the motor protection switch to the nominal current of the pump (see type plate of the pump).
