Please read this chapter carefully before working with these operating
instructions and the L4000 Safety Photoelectric Switch System,
termed L4000 system in the following.
1.1 Function of this document
These operating instructions provide the machine manufacturer's or
machine operator's technical personnel instructions on the safe
mounting, configuration, electrical installation, commissioning, and
on the operation and maintenance of the L4000 system.
These operating instructions do not provide instructions for operating
machines on which the L4000 system is, or will be, integrated.
Information on this is to be found in the appropriate operating
instructions of the machine.
1.2 Target group
These operating instructions are addressed to planning engineers,
developers and the operators of plant and systems which are to be
protected by the L4000 system. It also addresses people who
integrate the L4000 system into a machine, initialise its use, or who
are in charge of servicing and maintaining the unit.
1.3 Scope
This document is an original document.
