ALUMINIUM AND STAINLESS STEEL FILTERS:
The metal filters fitted to the hoods are made from aluminium profiles and mesh in the same light alloy
material. It is important to remember that these filters must be replaced if they deteriorate as they act as a
barrier against flames in the event of any sudden fire (the filters must of course be kept completely clean
and free from remains of grease particles AT ALL TIMES). These filters can be cleaned manually using a
standard grease-removing soapy solution, or else in a dishwasher. It is recommended that hand washing
be done WITHOUT USING A SCOURING PAD as this can damage the light alloy mesh; the best solution in
this case is to wash filters by immersion followed by rinsing.
VERY IMPORTANT:
If filters are washed in a DISHWASHER the manufacturer's instructions in the section on washing ALUMINIUM
UTENSILS must be followed. However, a SHORT PROGRAMME WHICH DOES NOT INCLUDE EITHER
DRYING OR POLISHING must ALWAYS be used. If a complete programme including drying and polishing
is run, the filters may become blackened or marked in different shades.
RECOMMENDATIONS:
• Cleaning is recommended at least once every 10 days.
• To maintain aluminium or steel filters under normal daily use of the hood, it is advisable to replace them
once a year.
• To remove the metal grease filter, use handle A to release the front guide, then angle the filter slightly
downwards and release the back guide. To replace it simply do the same in reverse.
OIL COLLECTION TRAY: (Available on certain models only; consult distributor):
On models fitted with this accessory, specific maintenance (cleaning out oil collected from condensation
and filters) should be carried out at the same time as that on the filters. The oil collection tray is located
underneath the filters; to remove it, consult the installation manual for your model.
5.2. FILTER CLEANING TIMER.
(Function available on certain models and versions; consult disctributor)
After about 30 hours of operation the lights on the control panel start to blink, indicating that it is time to
clean the filters. To switch the alarm off, press any button for a few seconds until the lights stop blinking.
Then switch off the hood and start it up again to make sure the alarm is deactivated. The 30-hour counter
will then restart from zero.
On the P-552 model the timer is for 40 hours.
