appropriate functional clothing.

5.4 Brake system

Your e-bike is equipped with hydraulic disc brakes. The left brake lever
operates the front brake, the right brake lever operates the rear brake.
Use both brakes simultaneously to achieve a better deceleration and to
evenly split wear on both brakes.
The installed hydraulic disc brake system is self-adjusting to compensate
wear of the brake pads. Therefore, the pressure point remains the same.
Locking the front wheel can lead to a crash! Pull the lever
with less force.
Modulate both brakes in a way to achieve a high decelera-
tion in an emergency but avoid locking the wheels.
Carefully practice the modulation of the front brake to
i
familiarise with the high braking power.
During extended braking, especially on descents, brake
pads and brake callipers get very hot. Do not touch the
rotors or brake callipers! Risk of burns!
