Mounting of the front rack

• Hold the front rack with its 4 connection points congruently over the side
holes in the head tube (Fig. 4).
EN • Make sure that the cables run between the left plate of the rack (in
direction of travel) and the head tube.
• Place the supplied washers between the front rack and the two lower
mounting points. Screw both screws about halfway into the threaded
hole to fix the luggage carrier in place.
• Now insert the other two washers between the luggage carrier and the
upper mounting points of the head tube (picture 5) and screw in the
screws.
• Now you can tighten the 4 screws with 15 Nm (picture 6).
Disassembly works in reverse order.

Activate / deactivate the lightning system

1. To activate / deactivate the lightning system you need to press the
button at the front light (fig. 7).
2. When the lightning system is switched on, front and rear light will both
shine. The lights are powered by the front hub dynamo.

Brake system – Shimano Alfine
Your bicycle have a hydraulic disc brake system. These brake system
is filled with mineral oil. Therefore a regular change of the brake fluid/
mineral oil is not necessary.
Nevertheless, let the mineral oil check for discoloration by your dealer
every 5 years or when replacing the brake pads and replace if necessary.
• To prevent possible malfunction, regularly check that the brake seals
are intact, and that the brake pads/discs are not worn out before going
on a ride.

Be aware never to pull a brake lever when the front/rear

wheel is not assembled!
The brake pads must be replaced when:
• The pad thickness of 0.5 mm is reached.
• The pads have come into contact with oil or grease. Safe operation is
then no longer guaranteed.
