• In double RET or CET+RET, "shock" the two electrodes together to switch to "Neutral Fix" or "Neutral Mobile"
mode.
3. Conductive cream
A conductive cream or gel (for mucous membranes) must be used to facilitate electrical exchanges with
the accessory and ensure a sufficient level of safety for the patient's skin. WINBACK has developed a cream and
gel to meet these requirements. If the cream/gel used during treatment does not meet certain minimum conditions
of electrical conductivity, the results obtained will not be optimal and the risk of side effects will be increased.
Warning: This technology requires a specially formulated cream/gel. A cream or gel that has not been
formulated for use with the equipment will form a crown around the electrode as the temperature
increases Conversely, a suitable product will spread evenly over the skin under the same conditions.
Only Winback conductive cream should be used.
4. Connection/disconnection of electrodes
The TECAR X and TECAR mobile accessories can be adapted with the addition of an electrode. To connect the
two, clip the electrode on to the handle where the mark indicates. To disconnect them, simply pull on the electrode.
5. Position of the electrodes
In some cases, a loss of contact between the two electrodes can occur because the distance is too great. The
electrodes should be placed according to the area to be treated.
The position of the patient depends on the area being treated. It is used to determine the best position for the
return accessory and the active accessory.
Example: for treating the knee, the neutral accessory should be placed under the thigh
6. Application of the electrodes
Sufficient pressure must be exerted to maintain optimal electrical contact over the entire surface of the electrode,
while allowing smooth movement.
The electrode should be moved in small circles using a slow, uniform motion, and without stopping. It is
preferable to reduce the intensity if it is uncomfortable for the patient, then increase it again gradually, rather
than maintaining a high power and being forced to move the electrode faster.
When the electrode is not in contact with the patient's skin, the timer stops, and no current passes through the
electrode.
Caution: Electrodes must be clipped
in place and are not meant to screwed
or unscrewed.
