1. GENERAL INFORMATION

This user manual contains essential safety information for the use of the BACK4 tecartherapy device and TECAR
therapy. Please read and follow all safety instructions before using this device.
• Learn about the latest clinical developments and appropriate indications and contraindications.
• Observe all applicable precautionary measures for the treatment.

1.1 INTRODUCTION

BACK4 is the latest medical device from SWIMS S.A.S./WINBACK. This new device uses different characteristics of
electrical currents with pulsed and modulated signals to create multiple therapeutic effects.
• TECAR (high frequency), stimulating the body's natural healing mechanisms and promoting cellular exchanges.
• Hi-TENS (high frequency with low-frequency pulses), increasing the analgesic power of TENS.
• Hi-EMS (medium frequency modulated in low frequencies), deep muscle contraction to obtain muscle strengthening
and drainage.
BACK4 uses the patented TECAR
daily activities faster and in the best condition. It is suitable for use on patients aged 18 to 80, in good general health,
presenting with an indication for which the device is suitable and without any contraindications linked to treatment.
The indications for the BACK4 medical device are as follows: relief of muscular and symptomatic pain (acute and
chronic) - relaxation of muscle spasms - improvement of bone healing linked to osteoarthritis pathologies - improved
joint function and mobility - management of muscular and tendon pathologies due to trauma - improvement of
microcirculation and the healing process - muscle strengthening with increased flexibility.
BACK4 is designed for doctors and physiotherapists and is suitable for use in medical offices, clinics, hospitals and
rehabilitation centers. It must be used by trained professionals with appropriate monitoring, and is for external use only.
It must not be used in a home environment.
BACK4 is approved for use in all EU countries, sans exception.

1.2 TRAINING

Following delivery of your medical device, you will receive a one-day training session from a health professional
appointed by the company SWIMS S.A.S./WINBACK. Do not hesitate to contact our service by phone on +33 (0)4 83

1.3 WARRANTY

Your device is guaranteed from the date of delivery against any material defect inherent in its manufacture for a
period of two years for a new device and one year for a second-hand device. Accessories delivered with the device are
guaranteed for one year (with the exception of second-hand accessories, which are guaranteed for 6 months). SWIMS
S.A.S./WINBACK may choose, at its discretion, to repair or replace defective parts during the warranty period, on the
sole condition that the repairs and/or replacements are carried out by SWIMS S.A.S./WINBACK or one of its authorized
representatives.
Note: The duration of the warranty may vary according to the regulation of each country.
SWIMS S.A.S./WINBACK declines all responsibility in the following cases:
• For the safety, reliability, and performance of the product if the set-up, settings, modifications, and/or any
repairs are carried out by non-authorized persons.
• If the security label has been removed and/or moved.
• If the device is not used in accordance with the user manual.
• If the equipment is used without conductive cream and/or with a cream that is different from the one
supplied by SWIMS S.A.S./WINBACK.
• If the installation or electrical network does not meet national or European requirements.
• Regarding normal wear and tear of accessories (plate, cables, electrodes).
• In the event of intentional or negligent damage to the equipment or its accessories.
• Penetration of liquids and creams into the equipment and/or the accessories.
• If the user does not follow the cleaning and maintenance protocols set out in this manual.
• Intentional misuse of the device (for example to treat a patient with contraindications; if the emergency button
is unplugged during treatment; if the device is opened, etc.)
