Function description Evaluation control (EC)

in conjunction with
sFlipLock ® / mFlipLock ® access / e-access and drive / e-drive

General

The evaluation control evaluates all contacts of the sFlipLock / mFlipLock
access/e-access motorised lock and controls the sFlipLock / mFlipLock
drive/e-drive. The motorised lock can therefore be opened, closed, moved to
daytime position or locked completely (blocked) for defined times. The supply
voltage for the motorised lock is also provided by the evaluation control. In
emergency mode (power failure/triggering of the fire alarm system), the
motorised lock is locked automatically in open state by an integrated buffer
capacitor. With the separate inhibiting input (locked), all input signals are
disconnected and the motorised lock moves automatically into locked position.
The evaluation control detects a sFlipLock / mFlipLock motorised lock automati-
cally, can differentiate between fail-unlocked and fail-locked and reacts
accordingly.

Interface

The complete control takes place via relevant commands (RS485 interface). The
lock inputs are blocked and linked to the evaluation control. A second RS485
interface is used for networking several evaluation controls. An eKey OEM MSL
finger scanner can also be connected.

Inputs

The inputs can be activated by bridging the relevant 2 terminals or by applying a
ground potential on the relevant terminal. The corresponding LED of the input
lights up if the signal is set. The LEDs are controlled by the processor (are not
simply parallel to the input), meaning that these LEDs can be used for other
purposes for displaying specific functions.
