• Through control hole in the panel, check the operation of the pilot - the flame should be lit with a bright
blue color. Hold the button on the valve for about 20 seconds to heat up the thermocouple.
• When the thermocouple is warmed up, release the button on the valve; if the pilot flame does not go out
- the unit is ready for use. If the pilot flame goes out, return to the first step.
• Use the main dial to set the approximate temperature of the frying grease as per the table.
• Once the set temperature has been reached, the valve cuts off the gas supply to the burner. As the oil
(frying grease) cools down, the valve engages the gas supply and heats up the tank's contents - keeps the
constant temperature of the oil.
• To turn off the fryer completely, turn the knob to the asterisk positio,n and then press the button on the
gas valve, marked with a white circle. The control flame will go out.
5. MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING
Before starting any maintenance work, switch off the appliance, wait for the oil to cool down, and disconnect
the appliance from voltage.
Do not use direct high pressure jets of water (for example from a pressure washer) to clean the appliance since
it could ruin internal components
Daily maintenance involves emptying the tank and washing it with a cloth dampened in water with a dishwa-
shing liquid and then wiping with a dry cloth.
For cleaning, do not use solvents containing chlorine, abrasive powders or corrosive substances such as hydro-
chloric or sulfuric acid. The use of acids will impair the operation of the appliance and reduce its safety. Do not
use wire brushes or abrasive paper to clean the tank. Be careful not to damage the pipes inside the tank when
cleaning. Do not wash the unit with an open water jet. Do not use agents containing hydrochloric or sulfuric
acid to wash the floor in the room where the appliance is standing.
Once a month, please check whether:
• all gas and electrical connections are executed properly
• the power cord hasn't been damaged
• all the components of the device are working properly
Once a year the device should be inspected by the technical service in order to check the degree of wear and
to identify possible faults of the components and parts of the device. In case any faults are detected, they have
to be removed by qualified technical personnel (technical service).
Monthly maintenance, annual service and repair of the device should only be carried out by qualified technical
personnel (technical service).
