8. MAINTENANCE AND STORAGE

Start the engine and run it idle until it uses
up all the fuel that is left in the tank and the
carburettor.

Remove the spark plug after the engine
cools.
–
Pour a teaspoon of (new) 2-stroke engine oil
into the spark plug slot.
–
Pull the starter grip several times to deliver oil
to the cylinder.
–
Replace the spark plug with the piston in
the dead end upper position (visible from the
spark plug slot when the piston is at maxi-
mum stroke).

Restarting work
When you wish to start using the machine again:
–
Remove the spark plug.
–
Pull the starter rope a few times to eliminate
excess oil.
