4. Installing the Cheek Pads
Before installing the cheek pads, make sure that
the 3 hooks are positioned as per Drawing 15.
They may not be hooked if they are not
positioned properly.
Identify a right pad and a left pad. Insert (C) at
the back end of the plate between the shell and
the liner, and then insert (b) of the plate into the
boss of cheek pad bracket (B) (Drawing 16).
Insert (D) at the front end of the plate between
the shell and the liner, and then insert (a) of the
plate into the boss of cheek pad bracket (A)
(Drawing 17). Also attach the opposite side in
the same manner.
After inserting the plate into the place, put the
chinstrap into the hole of the cheek pad and
then fasten snaps ❶, ❷, and ❸ in order
(Drawing 18). Strongly press down on the
upper part of the snaps from the pad side until
they click into place. Finally, press on corner
(E) of the pad as shown in the drawing so that
the plate of the cheek pad fits into the
protrusion of the cheek pad base (Drawing 19).
Also attach the cheek pad of the opposite side
in the same manner.

4. Installation des joues
Avant de monter les mousses de joues, assurez
vous que les 3 attaches soient positionneés
comme sur le Schéma 15. Les mousses ne
pourront être fixées correctement si les
attaches ne sont pas dans la bonne position.
Différenciez bien le coté droit du coté gauche.
Insérez (C) à l'extrémité arrière de la plaque
entre la coque et la doublure, puis insérez (b) de
la plaque dans le bossage de l'applique de
coussinet maxillaire (B) (Schéma 16). Insérez
(D) à l'extrémité avant de la plaque entre la
coque et la doublure, puis insérez (a) de la
plaque dans le bossage de l'applique de
coussinet maxillaire (A) (Schéma 17). Fixez
également le côté opposé de la même manière.
Après avoir inséré la plaque en place, placez la
jugulaire dans le trou du coussinet maxillaire,
puis fixez les clics ❶, ❷ et ❸ dans l'ordre
(Schéma18). Appuyez fortement sur la partie
supérieure des clics depuis le côté du tampon
jusqu'à ce qu'ils s'enclenchent. Appuyez enfin
sur le coin (E) du coussinet comme indiqué sur
le schéma de manière à ce que la plaque du
coussinet maxillaire s'insère à l'intérieur de la
base de coussinets maxillaires (Schéma19).
Fixez également le coussinet maxillaire du côté
opposé de la même manière.

Important Notice about
Handling Interior Parts
1. When fastening or unfastening the snaps, you
should hold near the snaps and treat carefully.
Fasten the snaps firmily until they click in place.
2. You can clean the inner parts by hand washing
them or by washing them in a washing machine
after placing them in a laundry net. Please treat
them carefully when washing. Use lukewarm
water. Gently squeeze the parts with a dry towel
and dry them in the shade. To prevent damage
to the plastic areas of the interior parts, do not
wring them strongly and do not fold or bend the
plastic areas. Take special care if you are using
a washing machine. Do not dry the interior parts
with a clothes dryer, blow dryer, or any other
type of mechanical dryer, as heat can damage
the material. The impact absorbing liner
(polystyrene foam section) should be wet with a
soft cloth dipped in a solution of mild neutral
soap and water and then wiped. Allow time for
the impact absorbing liner to dry in the shade.
Do not dry the impact absorbing liner in the
sunlight or use any type of mechanical dryer, as
the impact absorbing liner is extremely sensitive
to heat. If the impact absorbing liner is exposed
to high heat of any kind, contact your dealer or
SHOEI directly for a safety evaluation. To
prevent damage, do not use any of the
following cleaning materials: hot water over
40°C; salt water; any acidic or alkali
detergent; benzine, thinner, gasoline, or
other organic solvents; glass cleaner; or any
cleaner containing organic solvents.

Remarque importante concernant la
manipulation des parties intérieures
1. En attachant et détachant les pressions, tenez
le tout près des pressions et manipulez-les avec
précaution. Attachez les pressions fermement
jusqu'à entendre un clic.
2. Vous pouvez laver les parties intérieures à la
main ou en machine en les mettant dans un filet
de lavage. Lavez-les avec précaution. Utilisez
de l'eau tiède. Essorez les parties dans une
serviette sèche et faites-les sécher à l'ombre.
Pour ne pas endommager les zones en
plastique des parties intérieures, ne les tordez
pas trop fort et ne pliez ni ne tordez les zones en
plastique.
Lavez-les
en
machine
avec
précaution.
Ne
séchez
pas
les
parties
intérieures dans un sèche-linge, avec un
sèche-cheveux ou tout autre type de séchoir
mécanique car la chaleur peut endommager le
matériau. Le rembourrage d'amortissement
(partie en mousse de polystyrène) se nettoie à
l'aide d'un chiffon imbibé d'une solution de
savon doux au pH neutre et d'eau. Mouillez-le
avec cette solution, puis essuyez-le. Laissez
sécher
complètement
le
rembourrage
d'amortissement à l'ombre. Ne le laissez pas
sécher au soleil et ni avec un séchoir
mécanique quel qu'il soit car il est extrêmement
sensible à la chaleur. Si le rembourrage
d'amortissement est exposé à une chaleur
élevée quelle qu'elle soit, contactez votre
revendeur ou directement SHOEI pour en faire
évaluer la sécurité. Pour éviter tout dommage,
n'utilisez pas les substances suivantes : eau
chaude
dépassant
40°C,
eau
salée,
détergeant à base d'acide ou d'alcali,
benzène,
diluant,
essence
ou
autres
solvants organiques, nettoyant pour vitres
ou autres nettoyants à base de solvants
organiques.
