12. Changing the fuse

For overload protection the wireless dimmer is equipped with a mains fuse (glass tube fuse
1A T, time-lag, 250 V~, 5 x 20 mm). It is situated on the PCB within the housing of the wireless
dimmer.
Warning, danger to life! Before replacing the fuse, make sure you
disconnect all poles of the wireless dimmer from the mains supply!
Take note of all the safety instructions in these operating instructions!
• If the wireless dimmer is firmly attached to the mains supply, deactivate the mains fuse or
switch off the fuse box.
• Make sure no-one unintentionally turns on the power supply, e.g. by using warning signs or
mechanical interlocks.
• Then open the housing of the wireless dimmer and proceed as follows:
Remove the covers and the housing screws by using an appropriate screwdriver.
Use a measuring device or a voltmeter to check if the terminals of the wireless dimmer
carry voltage. Caution, danger to life! See above!
Use a flat-bladed screw driver to carefully lever open the housing top at the long side.
• Only replace the fuse with the same fuse type (1A T, time-lag, 250 V~, 5 x 20 mm). Never
bypass defective fuses. There is a risk of electric shock or fire!
• Check if an overload of the wireless dimmer might have caused the defective fuse
(connected load of wireless dimmer: 25-200 VA; the wireless dimmer is not suitable for
electronic halogen transformers).
• Close the housing of the wireless dimmer.
• Put the wireless dimmer into operation again.
