c) Connection
Make sure you observe the following order when installing the wireless
dimmer!
1. Remove the cable plate from the wireless dimmer by loosening the fastening screw.
2. Carefully strip 8 mm of insulation from the ends of the mains wires between the wireless
dimmer and the halogen transformer. If you are working with a flexible mains cable, you must
use suitable wire end sleeves for the wire ends!
3. Connect the output of the wireless dimmer to the terminals of the halogen transformer.
Make sure that all connections are tightly and safely screwed on so that there can be no short
circuit between the two wires.
4. Connect the mains cable to the input of the wireless dimmer.
Make sure the mains cable does not carry current (disconnect all poles from the power
supply!), e.g. using a suitable voltmeter.
Make sure that all connections are tightly and safely screwed on so that there can be no short
circuit between the two wires.
5. Close the housing of the wireless dimmer.
Insert the cables through the respective holes under the cable plate.
Although the cable plate does squeeze the cables a bit, there might be no proper strain relief.
Therefore, do not pull on the cable!
Put the cable plate back and reattach it using the two tightening screws.
