5. General notes

The programmable wireless dimmer FS20 DI20-3 is an easy-to-use versatile device. It allows
you to easily switch or dim resistive or inductive loads (25-200 VA) over long distances
wirelessly.

230 V standard light bulbs or 230 V halogen lamps (high-voltage halogen
lamps) are referred to as resistive load.
Conventional halogen lamp transformers using low-voltage halogen lamps
(most commonly 12 V) at the output are referred to as inductive load.
The wireless dimmer can be controlled by pressing a button on the device itself as well as by
using the remote control of the FS20 switching system or other wireless transmitters from a
distance of up to 100 m.
Caution!
The wireless dimmer FS20 DI20-3 is not suitable for use with electronic
halogen transformers! If you are not sure about the type of the halogen
transformer intended for use, consult the seller of the halogen transformer
or a specialist!

Make sure you use the wireless dimmer FS20 DI22-3 with electronic
halogen transformers.
In addition to the switching and dimming function, the device features three separately
programmable timers which can be set to a timeframe from 1 second to 270 minutes (=4h
30min):
• The first timer allows you to set a time to automatically turn off the light. This allows you to
use the wireless dimmer as a staircase light.
• The second timer defines the time it takes to automatically and gradually dim up the light to
full brightness. This protects the lamp when switched on. You can use this feature to simulate
a sunrise (e.g. in a terrarium).
• The third timer defines the time it takes to automatically and gradually dim down the light
when switched off (e.g. simulated sunset).
