8. Operation and programming

a) Operation
When the wireless dimmer is fully assembled and connected, connect it to the 230 V power
supply.
If the jumper is in position A (initial position), when switched on the dimmer
starts at the level of brightness before last switching-off.
Now you can switch on or off a ceiling light using the usual wall switch or dim it up or down using
the remote control.
If the wireless dimmer is connected directly to the mains supply (not running through a separate
on/off switch), the jumper must be set to position C. Otherwise, the light will be switched on after
a blackout (with the level of brightness before loss of power).
See chapter 12 for a description of how to open the housing in order to change
the jumper settings.
Proceed with caution, danger to life! Before opening the housing of the
wireless dimmer, disconnect all poles from the power supply.
By setting the jumper on the PCB of the wireless dimmer, you can select the following switch-
on modes:
Jumper in position „alt" (initial position, pin 1-2), „A"
when switched on, the dimmer starts at the level of brightness before last switching-off
Jumper not set, „B"
when switched on, the dimmer provides full brightness
Jumper in position „aus" (means „off", pin 2-3), „C"
when supply voltage is switched on, at first the light stays off
Close the housing again, then reconnect the power supply.
Use a thin non-conductive object (e.g. a plastic adjusting screw driver) to shortly press the
sunk-in push button at the top of the housing.
The connected load (e.g. a halogen lamp transformer with lamps connected)
should be switched on or off each time the button is pressed.
