rain, high levels of humidity, etc.).
• Respect any applicable rules on occupational safety in
force at the place where the product is used, and use
common sense to avoid any hazardous situation.

Work Environment

• Do not use the product when flammable liquids or gas‑
es, chemical or corrosive agents are in the vicinity.
• Make sure that the place were the product is used and
its immediate surroundings are sufficiently brighty illu‑
minated.
• If the product has to be moved, use appropriate moving
and, as needed, lifting equipment.

Intended Use

The socket welding machine was designed and manufac‑
tured for setting branch‑off fittings at a 90 deg. angle into a
straight pipeline by the socket fusion process, with compo‑
nents made of thermoplastic material. It shall be used only
for the materials quoted in its technical specifications and
for components with one of the diameters for which heat‑
ing spigots and sockets are included as parts of the product
accessories.
The machine is equipped with an adjustable setpoint for the
welding depth and a bracket that holds a common cordless
power drill/screwdriver used as a drive for the drilling head
needed to make the opening for the branch‑off in the pipe
saddle. Tools for installing the heating spigots and sockets,
the bracket holding the power tool as well as for installing
the clamps are supplied with the product.
Some steps of handling described in this manual re‑
quire parts that are not included in the standard
delivery of the welding system. The machine, e. g.,

can be combined to various heating elements for
the socket and spigot; accordingly, no heating ele‑
ment is part of the standard delivery and, to use the
machine, the appropriate heating element will have
to be purchased. Before ordering, consult on the
exact items included in the delivery and the re-
quired and facultative optional parts of equip-
ment.
Any other use, or the use of tools that are not part of the
product, is deemed unintended use, and any such use will
void any and all warranty and liability assumed by the man‑
ufacturer for the product, including for consequential dam‑
age.
