the components is over, the new joint can be removed from
the clamps. During the cooling, do not turn the handwheels
and do not allow any external force to be exercised on the
forming joint either. If another saddle branch‑off is planned
to be welded to the same pipe next to the one just made,
it is also possible to reposition the pipe to the new drill‑
ing and welding spot after loosening only the middle pipe
clamp and keeping it fastened in the lateral ones (refer to
the Info paragraph in Sect. 5.1), if the optionally available
outside pipe supports set on rails are being used.

Troubleshooting
Issue
The movable components
of the machine do not
move at all or not
smoothly.
7
Service and Maintenance
• Clean the machine completely at the end of every job,
especially if it was used extensively and/or for long peri‑
ods of time for this job.
• Check that the shafts along which the movable parts
move are always clean and slightly lubricated with oil or
grease.
• Check the clamps and their locking/tightening mecha‑
nism for proper operation.
• Check the PTFE coating of the spigots and sockets. Their
surface should be homogeneous and without scratches.
If the material integrity is compromised or the piece is
damaged, it should be replaced.
• At the end of every job — preferably when the spigot
and socket are still warm —, remove any residues of the
thermoplastic material with a cloth or soft paper.
When removing residues or handling still‑warm
sockets and spigots in any way, always wear heat‑re‑
sistant protective gloves.
Caution
Using water in any way, e.g., for cooling or clean‑
ing, with the machine or the sockets and spigots is
strictly prohibited.
