b) Using the camera in PIR mode
• Open the base cover (7) and set the TEST OFF CAM PSET switch to CAM or PSET.
• After approx. 30 seconds, the countdown starts and the blue test LED flashes for approx.
60 seconds. Leave the detection area.
• After the 60-second countdown, the camera switches to multi-shot or video recording mode,
depending on how the camera was programmed. The camera is triggered and begins
recording when motion is detected.
If you have selected CAM, make sure that the camera is in PIR mode and not in time
lapse mode (TLS). Refer to chapter 12., section c) "Setting image or video recording"
if you are not sure.
Setting the camera to record images
• Set the TEST OFF CAM PSET switch to TEST.
• Press the M button and then press ▼. The LC display flashes the programming level "2",
"CAM" and "VIDEO".
• Press the OK button and then the ▲ or ▼ buttons to select "CAM" (image).
• Press the OK button to confirm "CAM" (image recording).
• Press the M button to leave the menu.
Setting the camera to record video
• Set the TEST OFF CAM PSET switch to TEST.
• Press the M button and then press ▼. The LC display flashes the programming level "2",
"CAM" and "VIDEO".
• Press the OK button and then the ▲ or ▼ buttons to select "VIDEO".
• Press the OK button to confirm "VIDEO".
• Press the M button to leave the menu.
The period between a motion is detected and the camera is triggered for recording
may depend on various factors such as lighting conditions, program settings and
the battery charge state. The infrared LEDs are only enabled in very dark lighting
conditions.
