Diagnosis with IndraWorks

The diagnosis under IndraWorks or the diagnostic display on the
bus coupler can provide you with information on potential
errors:

if the UL/DIA LED on the bus coupler is not lit permanently,

if a message appears in the bus master status display (see
"Reading the diagnostic display on the bus coupler" on
page 83).

To use the diagnosis in IndraWorks, click on the menu option
Ansicht, Diagnose (View diagnosis).
In addition to the Profibus standard diagnosis, the BDC-B-DP_32
module also sends a 7-byte user diagnosis.
The length of the data field is transferred in byte 1 (= 7) and the
user-specific diagnosis is transferred in byte 2. The meaning of
the bits is shown in Tab. 12. Bits 5-7 must have a value of 0.
