7.2.1

Reading the bus coupler diagnostic display

The LEDs on the front panel of the bus coupler show the
messages from Tab. 19.
Before commissioning and during operation, regularly check
O
bus coupler functions by reading the diagnostic displays.
The diagnostic display functions independently of the diagnostic
message settings on the bus (see "Setting diagnostic
messages" on page 80).

Off No logic supply U
RC Check remote bus:
Green Incoming field bus correctly connected and
busmaster's bus reset inactive.
Off Computer in reset mode or bus master's bus reset
active or incoming field bus not connected or
incorrectly connected.
BA Active bus:
Green Telegrams are transferred on the bus.
Off No telegrams are transferred on the bus.
RD Disable remote bus:
Off The outgoing field bus is not switched off.
Yellow The outgoing field bus is switched off.
