Initializing the bus coupler

Switch on the operating voltage.
The bus system initializes itself as soon as the bus coupler
and the connected VS are provided with voltage from the
superior bus coupler.
The red DDL LED is illuminated during the configuration.
The initialization is completed after a short period and the
red DDL LED will go out. The bus coupler is now ready for
operation.

Test and diagnosis

Two types of diagnosis are available if the bus coupler has been
connected correctly:

LED diagnosis

Software diagnosis (monitoring of the connected VS by the
controller software)
7.3.1 LED diagnosis
The LEDs on the front panel of the bus coupler show the
messages from Tab. 21.

Before commissioning and during operation, regularly
check bus coupler functions by reading the diagnostic
displays.
