1 - SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
This symbol indicates a danger, the different
degrees of which are described below.

The motorisation must be installed and adjusted by a
professional motorisation and home automation installer,
in compliance with the regulations of the country in which
it is to be used.
To satisfy the requirements of standards EN 13241-1, EN
12445 and EN 12453, he or she must follow the instructions
in the installation manual throughout the commissioning
procedure.
Failure to follow these instructions may result in serious
injury, e.g. due to crushing by the gate.
Users do not have the right to make any modifications
whatsoever.

1.1 General information
This product is a motorisation for a sliding gate, for
residential use as defined in standard EN 60335-2-103, with

which it complies. The main purpose of these instructions is

to satisfy the requirements of the aforementioned standard
3
3 and to ensure the safety of equipment and persons.

Any use of this product outside of the sphere of application
described in this manual is prohibited.
The use of any accessory or any component not
recommended by Somfy is prohibited, on safety grounds.
In case of any doubts when using this motorisation, or to
obtain additional information, consult the website www.
somfy.com.
The instructions may be modified if and when there is a
change to the standards or to the motorisation.
The setting parameters may only be changed by a
professional motorisation and home automation installer,
in compliance with the installation manual for this product
and the applicable regulations, to ensure the safety of all
equipment and persons.
1.2 Safety instructions relating to operation
This motorisation may be used by children aged 8 and
over and by persons whose physical, sensory or mental
capacity is impaired, or persons with little experience or
knowledge, as long as they are under supervision or have
received instructions on safe use of the motorisation and
fully understand the associated risks. Children must not
be allowed to play with the motorisation. Children must
not be allowed to clean or maintain the unit.
The sound pressure level of the motorisation is less than
or equal to 70 dB(A). The noise emitted by the structure to
which the motorisation will be connected is not taken into
account.
